Introduction
Food additive Aspartame powder is white crystalline powder, odourless, slightly soluble in water, and 200 times sweeter than granulated sugar. Aspartame does not cause a bitter aftertaste. It can be perceived quickly and can last for a short time. Aspartame sweetener has a fresh taste, is closest to sucrose and is unstable under light and heat. It produces essentially negligible heat, so it has little effect on blood sugar.
Food additive aspartame powder decomposes and loses its sweetness when heated for a long time, and is stable at low temperatures and pH values of 3 to 5.
